Description
This compilation, Civil War Music, God Didn’t Choose Sides 1: Civil War True Stories, gathers performances from the world of classic bluegrass into a single disc. The sound is built on the classic bluegrass lineup of banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and bass. Listeners can expect the energy and acoustic drive that made bluegrass popular in the first place.
As the title indicates, the songs revolve around stories connected with the American Civil War. The collection is offered on CD. The arrangements leave room for each voice and instrument to be heard clearly. The emphasis throughout is on honest, unpretentious performances. The music speaks for itself, with little need for studio tricks or heavy production.
It makes a good gift for anyone who enjoys acoustic music with a traditional flavor. Rural Rhythm Records has long specialized in bluegrass, gospel and traditional country music, and this title fits naturally within that catalog. Browse the rest of the store for more titles in the same style.
