Description
Champion Fiddler, Volume Two brings together the voices and instruments of Curly Fox in a set rooted in instrumental bluegrass. This kind of instrumental material is often a favorite of players who like to learn tunes by ear. The spotlight here is on the instruments themselves, with breakdowns, reels and tunes that let the pickers stretch out.
The Heritage Collection Series focuses on the classic recordings that shaped the label’s catalog. Fiddle fans in particular will find a lot to enjoy here. This is volume two in its series, so collectors may want to look for the companion titles as well. The release adds another chapter to the recorded work of Curly Fox. It ships as a physical CD.
Pickers and listeners alike will find something to appreciate in these performances. Acoustic music like this rewards repeated listening, with new details emerging each time. For information about ordering, payment and shipping, please see our How to Order page.
