Description
This listing is for Dale Potter with Shot Jackson & Jim Murphey – HOE DOWN , VOLUME 1, a recording from Dale Potter with Shot Jackson & Jim Murphey that sits comfortably within the string-band pickin’ side of our catalog. Without vocals in the way, the listener can follow every banjo roll, fiddle line and guitar run. Fast and driving numbers sit alongside gentler tunes, giving a good picture of what acoustic string instruments can do.
It belongs to the Heritage Collection Series, which keeps vintage Rural Rhythm recordings available to today’s listeners. This is volume 1 in its series, so collectors may want to look for the companion titles as well. For listeners already familiar with Dale Potter with Shot Jackson & Jim Murphey, this title is a natural next step. The item is offered as a CD.
Background music for a workday or a soundtrack for a jam session, it works either way. For information about ordering, payment and shipping, please see our How to Order page.
