Description
Sound Traditions: That Good Ol Bluegrass – 30 Classics is a various-artists collection built around acoustic bluegrass. The music draws on the mountain traditions of the Southern Appalachians, where so much bluegrass has its roots. The sound is built on the classic bluegrass lineup of banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and bass.
The Sound Traditions name signals a collection centered on the older, traditional side of the music. The title promises thirty selections, which makes it a generous single purchase. The emphasis is on vintage performances that have stood the test of time. The collection is offered on CD. The music speaks for itself, with little need for studio tricks or heavy production.
Whether you play bluegrass or just love to listen, this title has a lot to offer. The arrangements leave room for each voice and instrument to be heard clearly. Check our Shipping & Ordering page for current delivery information.
