Description
Bluegrass Power Picks, 25 Hymns From The Old Country Church collects a generous run of old-time gospel singing recordings in one package. Expect hymns and spiritual songs in an acoustic setting, where voices blend over guitar, banjo, mandolin and fiddle. It is music that would feel at home at a Sunday singing, a homecoming or a quiet evening at home.
It belongs to the Power Picks series, a line of Rural Rhythm collections that pull favorite performances together around a theme. The twenty-five numbers on offer give a wide view of the style. The title calls to mind country church services and Sunday singings, which is exactly the mood of the music. It is supplied as a compact disc. The arrangements leave room for each voice and instrument to be heard clearly.
Church groups and gospel fans alike will appreciate its sincere, unhurried approach. Browse the rest of the store for more titles in the same style.
