Description
John McEuen – Round Trip: Live in L.A. captures mountain bluegrass in a live setting. It reflects the high, lonesome singing and driving rhythm that define bluegrass at its best. The sound is built on the classic bluegrass lineup of banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and bass.
The performances by John McEuen keep the emphasis on the song rather than on studio polish. A live recording keeps the spontaneity and audience response that a studio session cannot fully capture. It is supplied as a compact disc. It works equally well for focused listening and as background music at home. Rural Rhythm Records has long specialized in bluegrass, gospel and traditional country music, and this title fits naturally within that catalog.
It makes a good gift for anyone who enjoys acoustic music with a traditional flavor. The arrangements leave room for each voice and instrument to be heard clearly. For information about ordering, payment and shipping, please see our How to Order page.
