Description
Sound Traditions: That Good Ol Bluegrass – 30 Classics collects a generous run of acoustic bluegrass recordings in one package. It reflects the high, lonesome singing and driving rhythm that define bluegrass at its best. The music draws on the mountain traditions of the Southern Appalachians, where so much bluegrass has its roots.
Like other titles in the Sound Traditions series, it focuses on time-tested material. Thirty tracks make this a substantial addition to any collection. The emphasis is on vintage performances that have stood the test of time. It is supplied as a compact disc. Traditional music depends on being passed from one generation to the next, and recordings like this help keep it in circulation.
Fans of festival-style bluegrass will find it easy to enjoy from start to finish. Many listeners find that this style sounds best played loud, with friends around. Questions about this title can be sent through our Contact Us page.
